Melissa Calafell of Wilton was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 1 after Wilton Police officers responded and were able to locate her just as she was pulling into her home in Wilton, said Lt. Robert Kluk.
After talking with Calafell, officers noticed that she was intoxicated and that she had a 13-year-old female juvenile inside the car with her.
Calafell failed the standard field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI and DUI with a person under 18 years old in the vehicle, Kluk said.
Calafell refused to provide a breath sample once at the police department.
The juvenile was turned over to her father.
Calafell was released on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 13.
